The reason I have chosen to create an avatar of these aesthetic style is to match an ordinary male between 15 and 25 but also to show what kind of clothes he'd be wearing and the accessories he'd have; in this instance, a phone. The phone might show that it's someone quite technology-induced and therefore will be intrigued into the geeky character of Will.
